first of all, forget about the idea that anyone will give you an answer when you are asking. it's time to realize that you need to research and you need to learn. be sure that you can find answers for about 99,9% of all your questions in various tutorials, white papers, ebooks, etc. don't ask, the answers are already there. second, go out there and get your expiriences, find your favourite language or compiler. find your way and don't believe everything that you are told.  like every process, writing viruses takes time, time for researching, time for findind ideas, time to be creative.

programming is more than knowing the syntax or whatever, it's more about knowing how to solve problems and logical stuff

Could there be a whole new world of electronic artificial life forms possible,of which computer viruses are only the most rudimentary sort?

Keep in mind that everybody who learns programming gets bogged down from time to time,but if you keep at it,things become clearer and you will get there eventually.
